About the BMRIT Program
The Bachelor of Medical Radiography & Imaging Technology (BMRIT) is a comprehensive 4-year undergraduate program that trains students to become skilled technologists in the field of medical imaging. This course provides in-depth knowledge of various imaging techniques and technologies that are fundamental to diagnosing and monitoring diseases. Students learn the principles of physics, patient care, and equipment handling to produce high-quality diagnostic images safely and effectively.
Program Objectives
Upon graduating from the BMRIT program, students will be proficient in:
- Operating a wide range of diagnostic imaging equipment, including X-ray, CT, MRI, and Mammography.
- Ensuring patient safety by adhering to radiation protection protocols and providing clear instructions.
- Positioning patients correctly to obtain optimal diagnostic images as requested by physicians.
- Performing quality control checks on equipment to ensure it functions correctly.
- Assisting radiologists and physicians in diagnostic procedures and interpreting imaging requests.

Clinical Training
Hands-on clinical training is a cornerstone of our BMRIT program. Students undergo extensive practical sessions in our on-campus labs and rotations in the imaging departments of our partner hospitals. This real-world exposure allows them to apply their knowledge, develop technical skills, and build confidence in a professional clinical environment under the guidance of experienced technologists and radiologists.
